RPS Launches Track My Order to Improve Appraisal Turnaround Times

RPS launches track my order to improve appraisal turnaround times

3 min read

Turnaround time is one of the most important measures of an efficient appraisal process. When financing timelines are tight, brokers and lenders need to know whether an appraisal order is progressing as expected and, just as importantly, whether anything is preventing the file from moving forward.

Appraisal delays are not always caused by the valuation work itself. A file can lose time because documents are missing, access contacts are difficult to reach, payment is still pending, or additional information is needed before the next step can happen. Even small gaps, such as an incomplete order, a missing purchase agreement, unclear property details, or a client who is not ready for the inspection, can create avoidable friction.

The challenge is visibility. Brokers and lenders often spend valuable time requesting appraisal status updates by phone or email when trying to determine whether a file is on track. That back-and-forth takes time away from higher-value work and makes it harder to keep clients informed.

RPS’s Track My Order feature is designed to solve that problem. RPS is the first Appraisal Management Company to offer this real-time tracking feature, giving brokers and lenders a faster way to see where an appraisal order stands, without having to contact RPS for routine status updates.

That creates real value across the appraisal process. Brokers can communicate more clearly with clients. Lenders can reduce internal follow-up across origination and fulfillment teams. RPS teams can spend less time on routine status inquiries and more time supporting files that require attention.

Track My Order gives brokers and lenders a clearer, more accessible view of where an appraisal file stands and what, if anything, may be holding it up. By making key details and potential roadblocks easier to see (from payment status and assignment to appointment scheduling and missing documents), the feature helps brokers and lenders respond earlier, reduce avoidable delays, and keep the broader financing timeline moving with greater confidence.
